IW375803 (2006) was produced for only a few years during the 2000s and showcases IWC at its most technically ambitious. The watch is housed in a 41mm stainless steel case on a leather strap and features a perpetual calendar as well as a chronograph in a remarkably intuitive display. It has a fascinating dial layout. Every sub-dial performs double duty without ever feeling overwhelming. The register at 3 o’clock displays the date, while the sub-dial at 6 combines the chronograph’s elapsed hours with the month, each indicated by its own hand. At 9 o’clock, the running seconds share space with the day of the week, again using separate hands for each display. The upper register houses a beautiful moonphase surrounded by the chronograph’s elapsed-minute scale, while a discreet window at approximately 7:30 displays the four-digit year. Despite the sheer amount of information on display, the dial is still very balanced and surprisingly easy to read.
